what about a sickle with the same stats? it doesnt exist, but it wouldnt be theoretically worth more, although i dont think anyone would offer more for one than the other.

Crystallines have a much bigger market than sickles. Collectors want a sickle and would be equally impressed by either a crystalline or sickle with those stats, but the fact remains that both collectors and regular players would be drooling over that crystalline, so the demand would be far greater for the unique crystalline, making it the item that would, in theory, fetch the highest possible offer.

I don't think there would be a price difference. Both would be the ONLY one. There are multiple Crystallines with a >50 mod, but no Sickles at the moment, making the Sickle rarer. This would be the only "confirmed" 15 always req7 (one of a kind, not rare). To have the only one of a specific type should get rid of any rarity/price differential.
This is what looks fishy...

I would have to say this is the most pointless price check I have ever seen. Why? You/your friend have no intention of selling this for any in-game items. What would be the point of selling the "ultimate" weapon in the Guild Wars world? Sure you could fill your inventory with some other damage always weapons, as well as perfect Fells/Chaos/Serpent/other crap/ecto/blah blah blah, but you would have no use for this aquired wealth. I am sure some ebay jackass would pay a couple grand for this sword, which is where I am sure you/your friend are leaning. I can't say I agree with that, but I understand it.
Mods, please change to the title of this thread to "Look at me I'm cool." (which you are if this sword actually exists)

Im not sure on the market sizes for either, but the fact that low damage sickles are going for so much money leads me to believe there is a large market for them. I think the rarity of sickles would cause many people to drool over it even more so than crystalline swords, as there are several 15>50 crystalline swords, yet no Max sickles. Also, many people dont like crystalline swords, and many people love sickles.

I am persuaded by your logic. You are probably right, derrtyboy. Swords and sword upgrades are generally more sought after than axes, but there is certainly a strong axe trend among farmers and PvPers.

If ever a 15% no negative mod sickle existed, it would be the single most expensive item in the game. I would offer more on a req 12 15^50 sickle than I would on this sword, but of course that's just me . That being said I highly doubt this sword exists, as the OP hasn't returned since posting

After careful image analysis using:
- Multiple pass FFT filters / decoders;
- Consistency check with over 20 known legitimate images;
- RGB fingerprinting;
- Common sense;
It is my scientific opinion that this image is indeed a hoax. It is also the opinion of one of my colleagues here, who happens to be a forensic analyst, that the image is a hoax.
And to be honest, it didn't take all that analysis to prove it. Just use zoom in paint. But of course me being the silly scientist, have to have proof And the ruling is: n00b!
Nice try though.

You nailed it on the head, bro.
The Req. 7 totally gives it away as an imposter.
That, and of course the totally fake "(", which I noticed RIGHT AWAY.
Should have chopped in "req. 8" if you wanted to make it at least believable.
Decent PhotoChop, but how could you overlook glaring errors like those. LoL.
